Our scale is broken, so we dont know the weight exactly. Subjectively, it feels fairly light. We've been playing it through the shop amps, a fender and some other one (i forget the name of it, red devil or something). In a perfect world, i'd get a chance to take it home and give it the final playtest through a Marshall JCM-800 and MesaBoogie. But i dont think we have the SKB case for it yet, so its not leaving the shop! Everything here is a mass of confusion - thanks to the recent wave of terrorism, businesses (and most other aspects of peoples lives) have been disrupted badly. Last week Shamray's "new engine" blew up in his Lada, and thanks to all the "days of mourning" he is apparently having trouble getting a replacement lined up for it. That will have an impact on our shipping schedule - thanks to Draconian changes at Russian Customs (they now have to xray EVERYTHING that goes anywhere by courier to make sure its not terrorists bombs!) we have been restricted to shipping only 2 guitars a week, and thanks in part to Shamray's transport woes we missed the shipment on the two guitars that were supposed to go out LAST week. According to my notes from 2 weeks ago, yours was 6th in line in the shipping schedule then. So i guess we shall be able to ship it out the week of sept 20-24, unless there is a delay in completion of one of the guitars that is listed ahead of it, in that case it might be bumped up to the week of sept 13-17. I hope to have an updated shipping schedule by the end of THIS week.... |
