It's not in the above listed specs, but the neck will have a bubinga strip in the middle, the whole guitar dyed black. =)

Dancing is good exercise!

Sorry for the delay, but Sushkov (who was supposed to start your guitar last week) instead got an urgent (very overdue) precision inlay project passed on to him (CS-1985, whose crafter Danila was delayed substantially on one of HIS other projects  - due to big difficulties encountered in some custom hardware machining he was doing for one of our bass prototypes)

So that means Sushkov won't be able to start YOUR guitar for another couple of days - until he gets CS-0313 off his bench. He isnt set up to work on more than 2 guitars at a time...

The specs listen in this thread have been changed since, and might not been updated. Can't be too careful!

Status update: Sushkov's working is progressing very nicely.. our shop manager Stepanov estimates the guitar will be ready for completing in about 2 weeks.

i was just wondering whats the point of having a 3 piece neck if you cant see it? i've always assumed that 3 piece necks are used for "decorational" purposes.

multi-laminate necks are often used for aesthetic purposes, but all that BUBINGA in the center of the neck will also add considerable BRIGHTNESS and CLARITY to the sound :)

yes, the majority of the neck-thru lams are maple... but bubinga offers a different kind of brightness than maple - for lack of a better description... slightly more of a "marimba-like" tonality than maple provides :)

its 'subtle' metallic black - just tiny metal particles (no flakes!)

yeah, i see it. its great! my old charvel had that too, but that
guitar was an ugly kinda green. i sold that one for a fender
strat....best change i ever did!! but the fender is even less tune-
stable than the charvel, but hey, it isn't called a vintage-style
guitar for no reason huh? :P

I play-tested this guitar today... its one WICKED, SLEEK, MUSIC MACHINE. It really feels good, and sounds SOLID, BRIGHT AND CLEAR.

The new Kahler vibrato is my new favorite, its super smooth, and provides an awesome range of control going up as well as down. It definitely inspires confidence!

STATUS UPDATE: Stepanov tells me today that he is still waiting for the case. Its supposed to be here this week (which means tommorrow...)

The last email i got from Andrew was back on December 10th of last year - he reported:

"The guitar looks great! even better in person! Besides a couple of dings in the finish and scrapes on the back, i'm really happy with it. It sounds REALLY clear and bright. The Kahler is out of this world."

I think he is really busy gigging these days...
