Congratulations Matthias, on the birth of your new Shamray Custom Shop guitar (serial number CS 0047)!
We will post pictures of it's construction-in-progress from time to time here in this thread.

For the curious, here are the specs on CS 0047:

Detailed specification of Guitar:  CS-0047 ‘BROWNBURST’

Body: Mahagony, Hard Maple Top, Standard LP Shape (carved top and with ‘ESP Eclipse-like’ cutaway, exact body outline to be decided),
Solidbody, white top and bottom binding

Neck: Natural Hard Maple (with grain see through! - brown lacquered, matching lightest body finish brown), 
white binding, with headstock"veloute", bolt-on with a telecaster like metalplate (with best playability/sustain possible)

Headstock: Natural brown Hard Maple (like Neck - one piece),  totally black facing with white top binding

Headstock Logo: "to be decided”  –  with “Shamray Custom Shop” logo on BACK of headstock

Fretboard: Rosewood, (lightest available color)   with  white binding

Inlays: Standard white perloid dot inlays

Frets: 22 medium jumbo frets

Side markers: (black!) plastic dots

Nut: graph-tech (black) - matching d'addario "light top, heavy bottom" stringset for best tone stability possible

Scale: 24.75”

Truss-Rod-Cover: ESP Eclipse-like, black (white border, see picture)

Bridge : Tune-o-matic bridge with stop tailpiece, Tone Pros Locking Bridge System

Hardware: - Pots (2x volume, 2x tone - standard LP arrangement, vintage amber hat knobs)
- Complete EMG81 set harness
- 3-way toggleswitch (with creme Treble/Rhytmn plate, standard LP position)
- 9V Battery for EMG81 set

Machine Heads: chrome Gotoh SD90SL MGIII 3L/3R

Finish: Top/Back: Black Brownburst (see picture - with woodgrain see-through), Sides: black
It must be a true black (slightly grain see through) over a chestnut brown to a brown, see picture

No Pickup bezels, No Pickups, No Machine Heads (will be added by customer after receiving)

Well waiting is the hardest work *g* looking forward to its beginning

Maybe someday I'll order an acoustic guitar. But at the moment I'm looking forward to the LesPaul! I will add a picture of the guitar at its first live gig then - so the reality show may go on *g* especially when I'll add the EMG81 set which is not included in the order...

Well I see the work is making progress - can't await all the coming details. I'm curious if the brass sign is already price-quoted?!

I mean this square metal plate... is it possible to have deep-joint construction in combination with such a metal plate, or are deep-joints another construction type?
I mean with those deep-joint thing I think you can get the best sustain out of a bolt-on construction. But this metal plate looks better than just some screws...

I think it's a back cover of the bi-bender system -that's why it's so huge... Do you plan to use bi-bender on your guitar?
