Congratulations Patrick, on the birth of your new Shamray Custom Shop guitar (serial number CS 0045)! For the curious, here are the specs on CS 0045: Detailed specification of Guitar: CS-0045 ‘LOA SILVERBURST’
Exact replica of 1980 LP "silverburst" - finish color on Body Top, Body Back, Side Of Body, Back of Neck and Headstock to silver-grey burst color. MOP “Split-diamond” and MOP Shamray inlay on headstock.
Body & neck: Brazilian mahogany selected to provide for authentic "1980" LP-Custom weight (HEAVY!) Top wood: plain maple top (for sound only - hidden under silverburst paint) Fretboard: ebony with pearl block inlays, BLUE Led/fiber optic SIDE DOTS, Woolley Mammoth ivory nut Binding: single layer on fretboard, multi-layer on headstock , & front and back of body. Hardware: Chrome tune-o-matic bridge & tailpiece, chrome Gotoh "Metal-Keystone"-style machine heads. Chrome strap buttons. Ebony pickup rings, black plastic control cavity covers & jackplate. Yes, I'm already getting ideas for my next Custom Shop (even though my first isnt even here yet!), I'm split between another solidbody and a hollowbody... My current starting points are another singlecut guitar (PRS or Gibson style) with a totally different sound, but probably with more exotic woods, or a hollowbody archtop with the best piezo system money can buy Either of those, probably with some sort of flame/quilttop this time, exotic woods everywhere and all sort of crazy customisation... I've got to save up for it though, so it may be a while. Hopefully the price won't have skyrocketed or the wait for a guitar gone beyond a year! |

yeah i have some guitars on my wishlist still some of which i thought would be impossible to own but now come in reach one of them is defenitly going to be a prs hollowbody II type guitar with some nice extra's and i am also thinking bout having a tele '52 RI done in the future just see how this one turns out first but from what i see so far i know it will be good. Nice gear you have daniel i noticed you have a red ec-1000 also lol just like me what are the ods to that ! I play all trough a mesa though not a diezel so there is still some difference

I plan on getting a semi-hollow body double cutaway guitar after this summer. I'm planning on using woods such as black limba, wenge, ziricote and african blackwood. I've been reading alot about deep-set neck tenons and direct coupling of the bridge and I think I will try and incorporate those ideas into my next instrument. I'm also designing another custom inlay. Daniel: How much does your silverburst weigh? |

Our weighing machine isnt very precise but as far as i can see, i would say its about 4,8 - 5 KG (Kilogramms). |

thanks ! thats some weet news! And yes i am happy so happy ill probably order another as soon as i have laid my hands on her. Specialy since the current US $ to Euro ratio is very much in the Euro favor. I think its like 1.34 $ to 1 euro at the moment so well see what happens if it gets trough customs without extra costs i think i can.
