Congratulations Peter, on the birth of your new Shamray Custom Shop guitar (serial number CS 0666)!
We will post pictures of it's construction-in-progress from time to time here in this thread.

For the curious, here are the specs on CS 0666:

Detailed specification of Guitar: CS-0666 ‘BEAST’

Neck-thru-body BEAST style w/bookmatch-to-center Instrument grade figured maple top. 25.5” scale length, 24 frets.
Finish color on body, neck & headstock: Transparent Black (dyed maple top & headstock).
 

Body: Mahogany body. INSTRUMENT GRADE figured top
Neck: maple/purpleheart 5-piece neck with 25.5 inch scale. Ebony truss rod cover.  BCR “thin-C”Neck profile
Fretboard: EBONY  - no fretboard inlays. RED LED/fiber-optic side dots. 24 Sintoms “6100” frets. 16” radius

Binding: No binding on body, headstock, or fretboard. Headstock has figured maple cap (same wood as body).

Hardware: Black Schaller Floyd Rose, Black Schaller locking machine heads, Black Schaller locking nut. Black Strap-locks

Electronics: Neck volume w/ pull-pot for 89 mode, Tone (foil capacitor), direct side mounted (switchcraft) barrel jack, Schaller 3-way toggle switch, Dual battery boxes (separate battery for side dot markers), 100% Shielding.
Knobs: 2 black metal knobs.

Pickups: EMG 89 (neck)   EMG 81 (bridge)

Case: deluxe rectangular molded flight case.

Strings: D’Addario roundwound 11-49

Special: No headstock logo - Shamray Custom Shop logo on BACK OF HEADSTOCK
Notes:  top wood selection pending customer approval, Peter will supply all parts!

I must control my patience but this is my first custom build guitar..
By the way I've seen some very nice inlays for the headstock, is it really not possible that shamray does my logo?? The pentagram with Baphomet on front and Shamray on the back, cause personally I prefer that all constuction is done by Shamray. It would be a pity if after receiving my guitar I have to go find a custum builder in Holland for my Logo.

That can be but they said on several occassions that work would start today.
Which is a more than a month ago, so. Every time we expect some news while there is nothing done.
This is really frustating. Even Michael says he doesn't know why there's still nothing done.
Anyway, it sucks bigtime to wait for things that are promised and after 2 months are not even done( Like mirroring my topwood which is said on this forum to be done on 12-5-2004.

A bit disappointing but there's nothing to do but wait again and hoping that the builing will not be delayed any longer than it allready has. Cause I allready start getting comments that I made the wrong choice by choosing Shamray to build my guitar.
LET'S PROVE THEM WRONG IN THE END!!!

Michael give an believable explanation. Too bad for you (us)  but as you said there's nothing we can do but wait.
I still believe that you'll get a beautifull guitar in the end, which is worth waiting for. Too bad, that the expactations we had, based on what us was told, haven't come true

Peter, it's a beautiful top! Will it be arched, like on Les Pauls, or a flat layer of maple?
You see, I always liked an idea of making a guitar that's just like LP in its construction, but with a shape of some other guitar - Mockin' bird, Explorer etc

What's happening at the moment with Peter's guitar? Are there new pics?

I would love to get some more information.

Thanks Aleksandr. She looks AMAIZING. I can't wait to see the effects of the lights in the eyes and side-leds. It's such a nice feeling knowing that this guitar is going to be MINE MINE, ALL MINE!!!

I can't wait to have enough money for my next Shamray.

January is holliday season there and most are out to visit relatives and stuff.
Shop will be closed most of january because of it ( i am happy to get 1 week off !  lol).

I've seen the latest pics in Peter's email. The ones where the emg'sand the locking nuts are installed. They look great.
It's not my guitar, but I can't wait to see this BEAST in real!!!!!!
