Congratulations Philipp, on the birth of your new Shamray Custom Shop guitar (serial number CS 0034)! For the curious, here are the specs on CS 0034: Detailed specification of Guitar: CS-0034 ‘PHILIPPOCASTER’
Bolt-neck Str@t style. “AAA” flame maple neck and fretboard
Body & neck: Alder body... “AAA” flame maple neck, ’CBS-strat’ headstock.shape. Bone nut Binding: no binding. Hardware: Chrome Gotoh 2-point tremelo. Chrome Gotoh machine heads w/metal buttons. Electronics: One volume and two tone, 5-way toggle switch (USA). 100% cavity shielding. Knobs: 3 white plastic ‘fender-style’ knobs. Pickups: three Chernishev vintage Alnico singles Case: molded flight case. Strings: roundwound ernie ball 10-46 Special: Headstock logo: SHAMRAY in spagetti-logo style, with PHILIPPOCASTER in fender-style block lettering
Notes: Neck profile “medium” (Modern strat). 10 inch fretboard radius.

SPEC UPDATE: Bridge pickup changed to HUMBUCKER -splittable Chernishev "SH-4 Jeff Beck" Humbucker in bridge position with push/pull coil split on the the second tone pot (the knob between the bridge tone and the volume pot). |

hmm... nice to see the progress. but is it possible that you've been mistaken with the neck-pictures too? caus i ordered AAA maple neck and fretboard. no rosewood. but i'm shure there's a simple explenation for this greets |

oops! sorry, but i mistakenly labeled those neck pictures CS-0034, leading Shamray to mistakenly post them on this thread! I think your neck probably hasn't been started yet, since last i heard the shop stock is completely depleted of AAA maple suitable for necks. I can't really confirm that for a few days since we are into the dreaded "russian may holidays" (may 1-10, more or less) but i will try to get into the shop on wednesday or thursday and get things sorted out. |

i'm okay with that! i mean i'd rather wait some weeks longer for my guitar than getting worse neck-wood... of couse there are al lot of strat orders right now, couse there's no better clean sound out there than the sound of a strat neck single coil, which souds vintage and modern at the same time. thats the great thing about strat-like guitars! i love them! and i'm shure you guys do a great job! |

When i get some news, you will be the FIRST to know.. i ask about every guitar every day, but lately its pretty rare that I get any meaningful answers from our 'shop-manager' Stepanov about exactly whats holding up the progress. Last month i heard they were just waiting for bridge and pickguard, and then Shamray told me a couple of weeks ago that he had found and purchased a nice bridge. (the one i told you about) Since then i have heard or seen nothing about the bridge, and there has been no hint of further activity on your beautiful guitar. (although really there is nothing left to do until a pickguard can be found) I know they still havent received the (now 4 month overdue) pickguard plastic shipment from the USA - but we are stuck at this point since there are no domestic suppliers here in Russia. I'm tempted to go order you a pickguard off ebay right now - but its 3-4 weeks to get anything over here by air-mail, and by that time we surely will have completed your guitar... |

Yes, the guitar is way-overdue...  but pickguard arrived yesterday, so it wont be long now. There is a big backlog on the completing bench since our completing guy has been away for a few days |
