Congratulations Marcus, on the birth of your new Shamray Custom Shop bass (Serial number ME 0001)!

We will post pictures of it's construction-in-progress from time to time here in this thread.

** This bass is actually the first of a new line of "high-end" Custom Shop basses we are introducing in the spring. Since it pre-dates even the protoypes -  rather than giving it 'CB-0001', it will be issued the custom serial number "ME-0001". So Marcus joins Kok, Daniel, and Mats as the last of our "pre-serial" clients...

For the curious, here are the specs on ME 0001:

Detailed specification of Bass: “SHAMRAY CUSTOM SHOP ME-0001”

Custom extra-long scale fretless single-cutaway 5-string  (35 inch scale)

 (entire instrument to be finished “natural” clear gloss lacquer)

Body & neck: Body wings of figured Myrtle with bookmatched Spalted maple top & a 3mm dark Sapele "pinstripe" in between. Neck is 5-piece laminate of flame maple & purpleheart.

Fretboard: FRETLESS. EBONY - no fret markers. 10 inch radius. Bone nut

Side dot markers: @ 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 15, 17, 19, 21, 24 positions (double dots @ 12 & 24)

Hardware: Chrome Schaller 2000 bridge, Chrome Schaller machine heads, Chrome strap locks (recessed)

Electronics: Original custom preamp with master volume, magnetic pickup pan, treble, bass, and piezo level control.

Knobs: 5 custom made flame maple knobs (from same wood as neck) with Spalt maple caps (from same wood as top)

Pickups: 2 Chernishev custom humbuckers, Spalt maple covers (from same wood as top). Twin piezo transducers under bridge.

Case: molded flight case.

Strings: Elixr NANOWEB medium 45 - 65 - 85 - 105 -130 (roundwound)

Special:  Figured Myrtle control cavity covers (from same board as the body)

Notes: Spalted maple headstock laminate (same wood as top) with custom pearl disk ME logo
** neck width: 45mm @ nut,   69mm @24th fret

** string spacing: 18mm @ bridge saddles
** "thinner-than Warwick" (like Rickenbacker) neck profile

Is all the parts in place?
Have you order my hardcase so my bass will be shipped this week as promised or do I have to wait for another month?

The best case that i found was the Ibanez SR-bass case.

I don't know. They will have the gigs and a lot of free time. I gave him money that you payd for shipping and I hope that he will find the way to you. Anyway they will travel through all country.
