i have never seen any grades higher then 5A, but there is always the rare and insanly figured woods that might grade premium 5A or private stock or whatever. |

there actually is no such thing as even AAAA and AAAAA grade, they are flowery marketing terms, and we only use them for convenience to describe really PRIMO pieces. Figured maple is only graded A, AA, and AAA - anything better than that is "Instrument Grade" and sometimes sells for astronomical prices. The really choice pieces usually don't last more than a week before they are snapped up... the market for Instrument Grade wood is VERY volatile! |

Status update: we are waiting for our logo artist to return from her holidays - she will be finishing up her work on this guitar in a week or so. So probably CS-1946 will be ready for completing in 3 weeks... Tenative shipping date: OCTOBER 5th |

STATUS UPDATE: thanks to Mr. Shamray falling 2 weeks behind on the shipping schedule, CS-1946 is <B>not</B> going to get out in time for the Dec 9th deadline. So we will push shipping back to Early january... Still no luck with completing, Stepanov tells me today that they are short some hardware! (hopefully it will be here later this week) |

the machine heads were installed already??? That could account for why they were missing from your parts box ( i could have sworn that Stepanov had bought them months ago!) Last time i enquired about the status, Stepanov TOLD me they were just waiting on machine heads... maybe he is mistaken! HMMMMM... and maybe its already completed but nobody thought to tell me??!?? (its been months since they put it away in its case "waiting for parts" - i dont even recall what state it was in then...) i will check into this tommorrow! |
