Congratulations Axel, on the birth of your new Shamray Custom Shop guitar (serial number CS 0038)! For the curious, here are the specs on CS 0038: Detailed specification of Guitar: CS-0038 ‘AXEL CUSTOM’
Long tenon set neck “LP-Custom” style, carved top with 22 frets. Inlaid pearl Shamray headstock logo w/small split-diamond.
Body: Extra-heavy Mahogany body with carved AAA maple top. Neck: Three piece flame maple neck. “1960-slim-taper” neck profile. “Small” 59-style headstock shape. Binding: three-layer W-B-W around top of body, single layer white around fretboard AND HEADSTOCK Hardware: Chrome Tune-o-matic bridge & tailpiece, Chrome Gotoh “kluson”machine heads (Chrome keystone buttons), bone nut, Chrome Schaller straplocks. White pickup rings, white toggle switch tip, chrome rectangular jackplate, black ‘bell’ TRC. Electronics: 3-way toggle switch (USA), two volume, two tone. SERIES/PARALLEL wiring (dimarzio pull-pots on both volume controls) 100% cavity shielding. 500K pots. Metal Foil caps (0.022uF). Knobs: 4 black ‘gibson hat’ knobs Pickups: 2 Chernishev PAF (BB2 & BB3 wind) “WAX-POTTED” with chrome covers Case: molded flight case. Strings: D’addario .010-46 Special: Pearl Shamray headstock logo, with (down-sized) pearl split diamond inlay |

Wow, I finally found my way through the kyrillic registration mail!  Sushkov, thanks a lot for choosing those beautiful woods! The neck will look fantastic and I love that huge chunk of mahagony. Too bad Alexandr didn't post the pic where you can better see the flame on the top wood. |

Hi The birds look very fine. The blue color suits better that I was at first expecting. It magnificies the grain of the wood, also for the back of the neck. Very good job up to now. No new pics these days? Alf |

Here's two more pics that just came in. There's some orange peel on back of the body that will go away after polishing as Michael told me. Then it will match the color of the maple. | ||
