Looks like we've both been looking at the same sources... odds are you'll have most of the pictures I have. If the one in the yellow case is the one I think it is, I was bidding on it when it was on ebay!

On second thought, I think I will go with something less green. I like the 'original' silver, but maybe something less bright (such as this) would be better.

Hopefully my guitar isn't in the 'fininshing' stage yet, because I am an indecisive bastard of a person.
I've decided (for now heheh) that the 'original' style finish is what I want.

my vacation is coming along nicely (aside from a little run-in yesterday with a jellyfish)

I just read the comments Spike made about his straplocks, and I think I will opt for the same option. If it is possible to use a smaller, less huge version of straplocks that would be great. I suppose another possiblity would be to recess them, but.... if it is possible just to use smaller ones.... I would rather not mess with the body.

It could be Dunlop Strap-Locks, but we have to ask our local Dunlop's distributor.

regarding strap-locks.. the picture in question is a bit misleading - the 'big round things' are washers that get attached to the strap, not the guitar, and normally they arent really visible when using the guitar (and when you remove the strap, they go with the strap, so the guitar only has the small bits in it). Anyway the "big washers" come with Dunlop strap locks.. the more discrete ones are SCHALLER strap-locks, which i think we should use for your application

Question: I was lookin at some of the pics I was sent today and it looks like a piece of the tenon sticks up a little bit, but I'm guessing this is just an illusion......alot like my countries working democracy......

OK, i cleaned up the little server glitch. The 'tenon-sticking-up' is indeed an optical illusion. I have advised Shamray to put the Shamray Custom Shop logo on the back, and I will add the 10s & drop-D spec to the workorder!

a look at the back (pics really don't do it justice) this was taken after the color-coats but before the lacquer was applied (i havent yet seen it with the lacquer ...)
