After a couple of months, LMTJ had its first show playing in front of 200 people at a local festival, astonished by the band’s sonic and visual impact. They spent all the final months of 2005 working on their debut EP; after the recordings the band parted ways with the drummer Franz Lombardo and replaced him with Savio Monachella. In March 2006 they released the EP and left for a Italy tour with At The Soundawn and The Orange Man Theory. Back home, in a few months the line up got completely revolutionized: Gianpaolo Fiore and Marco Orazi left the band in April, and new bass player was found in Matteo Battocchio, brother of the guitarist Danilo. Savio Monachella left the band too during the summer, and his place was taken by Andrea Pellegrino. Finally just after the first gig outside of Italy, also Marco Boaretto, co-founder of LMTJ, left the band. In five months the line up was reduced to four members. The surviving members didn’t give up, wrote new material and left for an headlining Italy tour in December 2006. This tour marked the end of an intense year spent promoting the EP, resulting in many people showing up at the gigs and a bunch of great reviews. 2007 started with a new guitarist in the line up, Alessandro Rilampi, and more gigs all around northern Italy and Switzerland. In this year, things gone even bigger and LMTJ had the chance to open gigs for bands such as Capricorns and Lair Of The Minotaur in June, and Ufomammut in November. During the summer the band started to work on the first album, and after some more gigs in Switzerland, Germany and Austria during the autumn, in December they finally entered Suoneria Studio to record Volume I, their first album. In January 2008 they played their last gig supporting Zu and Il Teatro Degli Orrori before taking a break to prepare the release of the record. In May 2008 Alessandro Rilampi left the band, which decided to continue as a four piece. Volume I has been released on September 26th 2008, co-released by Concubine Records, Swarm Of Nails, Hypershape Records and Consouling Sounds. After that, the band parted ways with the bass player Matteo Battocchio, finding a new one in Paolo Fazio. |
