Jaguar was started to produce as upper model of Jazzmaster in 1962. Jaguar was the top model of Fender USA. Jazzmaster was already sold from 1958. Body shape and tremorro unit is as same as Jazzmaster (because Jazzmaster is the brother model of Jaguar), but jaguar has short scale, and original pick up, and opriginal on/of switch which is different from Jazzmaster. Jaguar has more sharp and trebly sound more than Jazzmaster. In 60s, Jaguar was very popular model, but because of tremorro unit, many of musicians started to use strat, telecasters, and Fender USA stopped production in 1975. But in 1987, Fender Japan started to produce re-issue model of Jaguar, and Cart Covain of NIRVANA used Jaguar. So Jaguar became popular model again in the begining of 90s. Crafted in Japan= more than 50% of parts are made in foreign country. In case of Fender Japan, parts are made in Korea. Made in Japan= less than 50% of parts are made in Japan. Anyway both bass are assembled in Japan. Basically, in foreign countries, there is no difference between MIJ and CIJ. Off course, but negative reaction for crafted in Japan is less in Japan. Because all top model which is now selling is crafted in Japan. And most important thing is , this crafted in Japan is different from made in Korea.But as you know, now all IBANEZ basses are made in Korea. But they are normal instrument. Not too bad. After a precise tuning of the guitar and playing about an hour, i can say that it's a perfect instrument. Now i'm thinking that it's too good for repetition guitar... may be i should buy a squier  ... hehe...Thank you so much, Tanaka!

Tanaka, i wanna ask you to do me a favour... Guitar is good, but bridge... it's realy aweful. So i would be VERY VERY VERY grateful if with tremolo arm you'll sell me saddles like this: http://www.guitarpartsresource.com/saddles_jagjazz.htm The last kit is what i have now and it's bad, i would love to have Graph Tech saddles or Mustang saddles. Is there any possibility to get 'em? |
