Âðåìÿ: 28.03.2006 09:01
Moscow from Tokyo
Fender Jazz Bass 1978

For your information. I explain how to read serial number of GRECO.

Greco started to put serial number which indicates production year from 1975. Before 1975, we need to know the production year from the shape of logo type, or parts details.

Basically Serial number of Greco is put in the back side of head, or on the neck joint plate of bolt on neck guitars or bases.

Greco have 3 kinds of serials.

Category 1 : 1975-1994 (7 letters (1 alphabets + 6 digits))
exa) K793272
First K is production month. (A= January B=

     Februarary・・・・K=Novemb
er)
And 79= 1979
And 3272= production number from 0001-9999

Category 2 : from 80's for "Super real series" & "Mint
collection" (only 5 digits)
exa) 1 9982
First "1" = 1981, If that is "2"= 1982
and 4 digits means production number from 0001-9999

Category 3 : from 1995
exa) D 001928
First D= factory code
