EMERALD GUITARS TWELVE-STRING (Hand-made in Ireland) 100% Composite Graphite 12-String Acoustic / Electric guitar with unique one-piece molded design! Unlike those other all-composite guitars, this one will never suffer from the dreaded "top separation" problem - thanks to its unibody construction. Good luck finding another one of these anywhere - Alistair has scaled back his production, and he only builds a few guitars a year now. There is a LONG waiting list... but you can have this one RIGHT NOW.  This is a N.O.S. 2005 X10 FUSION model, with factory upgrades. "The X10 is probably the most playable guitar you will ever have in your hands, with its ergonomic body shape and super fast neck. Each Fusion is made from a one piece composite structure giving incredible tone, sustain and structural integrity." Body Construction One piece carbon (graphite) body and neck. Fingerboard Scale length: 648mm (25.5") Max body depth: 95mm (3.75") Max body width: 370mm (14.5") Nut width: 48mm (1 7/8") Neck profile is approximately 20mm @ 1st fret, 23mm@10th fret (eyeballed) It has a fully adjustable truss rod in case you'd like to experiment with different string gauges. Right now it still has the factory strings (a 009-046 set, according to my micrometer...) Features: B-band pickup system with 4-band EQ (bass,mid, treble, presence) Sperzel locking machine heads. Original Emerald hardshell case. I received this guitar directly from the factory, and it's in NEW condition - it was tuned up, plugged in to test the electronics, and has less than one hour of actual playing time! The photos show a lot of fuzz and dust, but the finish is actually pristine (it just needs a good wipe-down!) It does have one tiny finish scratch on the back (it came like that from the factory) I think that a tiny drop of red nail polish would probably take care of that... (see pics) What can I say about this guitar? It's easy to play, it sounds very very sweet and rich, and it STAYS IN TUNE. Virtually indestructable - it's a guitar you can take anywhere, and you never have to worry about it being harmed by humidity or temperature. And it STAYS IN TUNE!! (which is very helpful, since its a twelve-string...) I'll let the pictures tell the story:         yes, the bridge is MOLDED into the top - which is MOLDED to the sides and back, which are MOLDED to the neck...   a close look at the Celtic dog logo ( don't mind the fuzz and dust - it will wipe off with a dust rag...)    ( yes, its very dusty on my balcony - those white specks are dust, not finish flaws!)  (whoops - flash went off on this photo... it does highlight the textured finish, but the color isn't true...)  battery box is tucked out of the way, and the output jack is in the strap-pin... when you unplug the guitar it switches off the battery.  (battery is included!) Sperzel locking machines are a (factory) upgrade for this model...  the label (photographed through the sound-hole) - its birthday is April 12th    the hardshell case is custom-made for this guitar (perfect fit!) Wow... nobody in Russia wants an amazingly nice, indestructible 12-string acoustic/electric that STAYS IN TUNE? This guitar is still brand new, and cost me 1300 EURO including the shipping from Ireland and duty. I will only offer it locally one more time before I put it on ebay: 25000 Rubles

Pity! It seems a real shame to send this off half-way around the world when there are at least a HALF A MILLION guitar players right here in Moscow. But I really do have to send this on its way... a new guitar is coming on the weekend and my flat simply has no more room for guitar stands! |
